  • I’d say Kingsman for Matthew Vaughn and District 9 for Blomkamp. Both near-perfect films in my eyes, and I can’t say I’ve liked any of their other works much. First Class is rewatchable but only because of McAvoy and Fassbender.

    • Agreed on both, though my Vaughn pick would be Layer Cake, which I consider to be the second best of the turn-of-the-millennium British gangster films (behind Sexy Beast and ahead of everything Ritchie made).
